Tutoring and ESL:
Volunteers are always needed to tutor individuals, kids, or small groups of refugees in English conversational skills. We ask groups and individuals to partner with Pars Equality Center in helping us to address this crucial skill: facilitating the ability to maintain a basic exchange in English.
Help with Employment:
If you are knowledgeable in any of these fields: Education, Finance, Medicine/Heath Care, Environment, Beauty, IT, Machining and Manufacturing, Construction, or other industries, please contact us. We seek volunteers willing to provide tips and information to help our clients learn about working in the United States. They need guidance in finding opportunities and advice on job trends, entry-level opportunities or internships, professional associations and referrals to contacts regarding jobs or informational interviews.
Helping Isolated Seniors:
Volunteers make a big difference in the lives of our senior community. Friendly visitors bring friendship and a sense of community to isolated seniors. Join us as a chaperone during our Silver Club outings or simply face your opponent in a lively game of backgammon.
