Legal Services

Pars Equality Center provides low-cost legal services to individuals who qualify.  We provide community members the resources to become productive citizens by educating, advocating on behalf of, and representing individuals in our community.  All our offices are recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Legal Accreditation Program.   Our legal staff members are either licensed attorneys or accredited U.S. Department of Justice immigration representatives.

One-Stop enrollment program

This program is a Web-based system that allows qualified families and individuals apply for multiple health, social services and other support programs from Pars Orange County.  We are certified to provide education and enrollment the Covered California insurance marketplace that offers affordable options to qualified individuals. This efficient one-stop approach allows our CAA to assist community members in applying for a range of programs based on eligibility:

  • Medi-Cal
  • CalFresh
  • California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWorks)
  • Child Health and disability Prevention Program (CHDP)
  • California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE)
  • Family Electric Rate Assistance Program (FERA)
  • Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Low-Income Referral Programs

Job Search program designed for Professional Immigrants

This program is for highly skilled newer immigrants including refugees looking to restart their career in the US. Join our free Job Search Training program designed specifically for skilled immigrant and refugee professionals.

Job Seekers who meet the criteria below qualify for this free service. 

  • Fully work authorized(not visa dependent or sponsored)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher obtained outside of the U.S.
  • Intermediate and working English proficiency
  • 5 years or less as a U.S. resident
  • 2 + years of foreign professional experience
  •  No professional U.S work experience
  •  Positive, motivated and ready to return back to work

The free job seeker program is delivered by PARS Equality Center and our key partner Upwardly Global (UpGlo). Together PARS and UpGlo are powerhouse duos that are working in strong collaboration with each other to deliver exceptional service. The PARS/UpGlo combined program offers job seekers access to a national world-class job search training curriculum, training resources and industry expertise from Upwardly Global, and access to volunteers and employers across industries, combined with local, on-the-ground coaching and additional support from Pars coaches.  To learn more and apply for this free program, click here.
